When we took over the store in March, one of the first things we noticed was that several customers were asking us to throw out their old shoes. Many of these shoes were only slightly worn. Needless to say, we saw this as a problem and we started searching for a solution. MORE Foundation Group allows us to have a conversation with our customers about what happens to their shoes after they drop them in the donation box. We talk about how one pair of shoes sequester one ton of CO2, and how MORE Foundation Group also helps developing economies in by creating jobs and products to people in need. 

 

Many people come to our stores just to drop off shoes, and we are 100% happy with that. We know that the shoes are helping re-forest parts of the world that have been devastated by deforestation. By having the donation boxes in our stores, we are able to give people a reason to come to Red Rock Running Company. It is a win-win situation and we are very pleased to be partnering with the MORE Foundation.
